A couple of weeks ago my partner and I went to the Blind Lemon Vintage fair. It was an excellent show with lots of unusual pieces. We managed to pick up some cardigan clips, a leather cigar case for my imminent iphone acquisition, a couple of presents for christmas, some brooches, and a pair of lovely brown leather gloves for the colder autumn days. I’d travel again to visit one!

We then spent last weekend picking pumpkins, making pumpkin pie, and generally celebrating the season. Sunday night was also spent threading popcorn strands, and cutting up 5 pumpkins. A successful Halloween all ’round! Now for November, my favourite month. More pictures of the pumpkins, and another new Autumn die-cut, will be coming soon.

I work as a designer in the day, mainly encouraging people to use sustainable forms of transport and unwittingly, over my two years in the team, I’ve discovered a dark and secret love of cycling. Cyclists on the other hand tend to be a nightmare, but I’m slowly beginning to try and like them too.

On Thursday I organised a team cycle around Cardiff Bay using a lovely man, Pol, to guide us through the infamous sites. His cycle tours are absolutely brilliant for anyone who wants to see Cardiff in a different light. We finished the evening off with a beautiful meal at Strada, which I’d recommend to anyone. I had the lamb and rosemary rump, like a true Welsh girl.

I’ve caught a cold since, typical of Autumn despite the recent sunshine and warm weather, so I’ve been catching up with my favourite hobby of crocheting. I’m slowly working through the logistics of American crochet and magic circles. Wish me luck!

All clothes are from Primark, apart from the 5th row cardigan which is TKMax. The tapestry purse is a Cath Kidston vintage, along with the tote bag on the last row, got free at the opening of Cath Kidston, Cardiff. The two tote bags on the 5th row are by Habitat.

My old blog unfortunately got wiped, and with it all the entries. Hopefully i’ll be able to re-upload some of the more recent and applicable content lost, but for now it’s good to have another space to wander about in.
